Cali Trip

Well after Parker's baby blessing we were off to California to attend his cousin Linken's baby blessing. Parker is only 15 days older then his cousin Linken. I am sure as they get older they will love getting into trouble together at all of the family gatherings. We got to spend about 10 days out in not as hot and sunny as it usually is California. On top of getting to be at another beautiful baby blessing, we got to see the rest of the family that couldn't make it to Colorado for Parker's blessing.

Brooklynn was once again inodated with cousins to play with. She was a bit overwhelmed at first with all the new places and all the new people, but after a few days she found a new comfort zone and was willing to do a bit more exploring without keeping mommy in sight at all times.

Me and the kids, Aunt Pauline, Bekki and the kids, and Mom met at the park in Ripon for a little fun. Though it was a bit windy and only in the lower 70's Brooklynn and her cousin Cami hit it off and bonded in the parks water fountains.

After this Cami and Brook-a-lynn (as Cami calls her) were buddies

While we were out there we went on Justin and Ivie's boat for a day of fun in the sun. It was the first time on a boat for both Brooklynn and Parker. The boat put Parker right to sleep. Brooklynn on the other hand took her turn in the big innertube with her cousins before she let the boat rock her to sleep.

Parker was fast asleep as soon as the boat started moving.

After playing in the water it was time for a nap

GRANDMA and GRANDPA FAIRBANKS' HOUSE:

Here are some cute pictures from when we were at Lee's parents house. Brooklynn got to see and do all sorts of new things.

No trip to Grandma Fairbanks' house is complete without seeing the horses. But before she could see the horses her and daddy helped Grandpa pick the pasture for horse poop. Brooklynn got to be the driver and Grandpa got the job of scoper. (I think Brooklynn got the better end of that partnership!)

After helping out with the horses it was time to go and have some real fun. It was off to the trampoline house. What is a trampoline house you ask. Well it is like a bounce house, but instead of the air filled play houses, it is nothing but a bunch of connceted mini trampolines. I know it might not sounds like a lot of fun, but it was a blast. Quite a workout too!

Even the youngest of the bunch had a great time on the trampolines

Cami was jumping so hard she had to take a quick break

Brooklynn is determined she is going to get someone out in this game of Fairbanks Trampoline Dodge Ball

Clovis

We were excited to get the chance to drive down to Clovis to see Mike and Tracy's kids while we were in California. It had been about 4 years since we had seen them, other then in picutres. They sure to grow up fast. We spent the afternoon walking around the outdoor mall there in Clovis catching up on all the kids interests and what they had going on.

Parker's Baby Blessing

Here is Parker in his cute little blessing outfit that his Great Grandma Savala made for him
He reminds me of his Great Grandpa Fisher in his suspenders! :)

We had Parker's baby blessing the 24th of May. We were really excited that Lee's mom and dad , his aunt pauline, and his brother Fred and his family were able to come out from California. Then his sister Amber and her family came down from Loveland for the blessing. Then my mom and stepdad, brother, and grandma came in for the blessing as well. It was a beautiful blessing and Parker looked so cute in the outfit that his Great Grandma Savala made for him.

We had a full house and a great time. Brooklynn loved playing with all of her cousins. She isn't used to having so many kids to run and play with. I have posted some of the pictures below.

Here is the whole group after the blessing. So many people and so much love. :)

Parker is 6 Weeks Old

It is so hard to believe that Parker is already 6 weeks old. Where does the time go? It doesn't seem that long ago I was talking about Brooklynn only being 6 weeks old and not she is almost 17 months. Geez!! Well, I guess the key is to enjoy them each day because they do grow so quickly. I very much enjoy my children. They are such a blessing in my life.

Well, Parker went in for his 1 month check up last week and scored wonderfully. The doctor said he was perfect in every way, which of course I already knew. :) He weighed in at 9 lb 11.5 oz and is now 22 inches long. He is already growing by leaps and bounds. I do not think that he is going to be petite like his sister, rather he is going to be a big protector for his big sister.

We are looking forward to Parker's baby blessing that will be this weekend. We can't wait to see all of those who are going to be able to make it out here for that. We are also excited to be able to go to Linken's baby blessing in June out in California. It has been far to long since we have been out there to visit and we look forward to seeing everyone out there.

Family Pictures

Well we got our new family pictues back and they turned out wonderful. We got a great photographer who did a wonderful job with all the pictures, especially the kids pictures.
Brooklynn and Parker - Up against his sisters pasty white complection he sure does seem to glow. :)

Here is our new little guy. Wide awake for pictures!

She has turned into quite the little ham.

I love this family picture. It is amazing at how with a new addition comes a new form of completness. We never felt something was missing before Parker, but we sure would now if he weren't here.

We absolutely love this picture. Can't you just feel the love and sweetness!
`
The kids are doing great. Now that we have had some nice weather we have been taking our daily walks and Brooklynn loves being outside. Of course she feels the need to stop at every rock, sprinkler head, dirt cload, and fire hydrant. She sure does love being outside though. We are looking forward to getting the sod down in the back yard and having a yard that the kids can play in this summer. I think Brooklynn is going to be the kid that you can't get to come back inside.
`
Brooklynn's personality is evolving everyday. She definitely keeps up smiling and laughing with the things she does. She has mastered is the art of the fake laugh. She does not want to be the only one not laughing, even if she has no clue what everyone is laughing at. For some reason she has recently found the number 3 to be very funny. She loves when you count to 3 with her and on three she puts her hands over her mouth and giggles. It is really cute.
`
Parker is doing great. He is constantly squirming and making little noises. He has turned into quite the little eating machine, as he is too lazy to eat both sides one right after the other. He often feels that during the day he needs to eat every hour and a half. That gets a bit frustrating, but we are working on getting better at eating all at once and going a bit longer between feedings. He goes in for his one month check-up onthe 12th and I am anxious to see how he is growing.
`
We are doing Parkers baby blessing at church on May 24th. We are excited to see all those who are able to make it out. It should be a lot of fun!

Easter

Well, Easter in Colorado brought a day of snow. The snow and a 4 day old baby caused a change from the original park and KFC chicken plan. Instead we did an Easter egg hunt for Brooklynn in the Kitchen and Front Room and threw something together for a late lunch. My mom, stepdad, and grandma joined us at our house that way we didn't have to take the kids out.

Brooklynn got a new little couch that is just her size, which she sits and lays upon like she is a queen. She loved the easter egg hunt. She has her dad's sweet tooth for candy, so of course she loved the fact that she found candy in the eggs. Some of the eggs also had change in them that she got to feed her turtle piggy bank, which is always a cute task to watch her do. She gets so excited when she gets the coin in the slot the correct way.

Parker is Here!

Well, I guess it is time to join the world of bloggers since everyone has seemed to move to this rather then MySpace. So, we'll try to keep everyone up to date on here.

Well Parker Jospeph Fairbanks made his arrival on April 8th at 9:14 in the evening. He weighed 8 lb 2 oz. and was 21 inches long. This is huge compared to his sister who was 7lb 1oz and only 18 1/2 in long when she was born. He is doing wonderful. It seems that we have lucked out once again and gotten a really good, easy going baby. He is a good sleeper and a great eater. It won't be long before he is passing up his sister I am sure.

Brooklynn loves her new little brother and is taking this new addition like a champ. She seems to be making the transition really well. We of course have our moments, like when mom is feeding baby and she needs something, but that is to be expected. She is a big helper to mom and dad with baby Parker and loves to give her brother lots of hugs and kisses. I think that he gets more kisses in a day then I get in a week :) She has done really well at being soft with him, though sometimes her version of soft is a little different from mom and dad's. She trys to give him his binki when he is upset and trys to sooth him when he is crying. It is really neat to watch her with him. She is constantly jabbering away to him, and sometimes with such gusto it makes you wonder what she is telling him.

Lee has been such a huge help with making the transition from 1 to 2. He is such an amazing dad. He works full time, goes to school full time, and still makes time to be with his family. Sometimes I do not know how he does it all, but I know that I am truely blessed to have such a terrific husband. Brooklynn, with the help of dad, as started become a little less dependent on mom for everything and lets others help her more. She just lights up when Lee gets home from work. She starts running around the house because she knows that dad will chase her until she gives him a kiss. It is truely entertaining to watch the two of them together.

Here is our new little family!
